It Was Never Your Back. It Was the Saw.
The BetterGardens™ Mini Chainsaw weighs 1 kg and cuts with one hand. Both feet stay on the ground. No pull cord, no petrol, no ladder.

There’s a Day a Lot of Us Quietly Dread…
The day the chainsaw gets too heavy to start. The day the ladder starts feeling wobbly. So the pruning waits. For the weekend. Then for the kids to visit. Here is the part nobody says out loud: it was never your back. It was the saw. Here are 7 reasons thousands of older Aussies stopped waiting.
7 Reasons Aussies Over 60 Love the BetterGardens™ Mini Chainsaw
One Hand. Both Feet on the Ground.
You hold it in one hand and reach up. No wrestling a heavy saw with both arms. No climbing. The ladder can stay in the shed where it belongs.
No ladder needed
1 kg. Lighter Than a Carton of Milk.
A petrol saw can weigh five or six kilos before you add the fuel. This one weighs about the same as a bottle of milk. You can hold it all morning and not feel it the next day.
Weighs about 1 kg
No Petrol. No Pull Cord. No Fumes.
Slap the battery in and press one button. That’s it. No mixing two stroke. No yanking a cord twenty times. No standing in a cloud of exhaust while you work.
One-button start
Cuts Branches as Thick as Your Wrist
Most people say the same thing when it arrives: I thought it was a toy. Then they cut something with it. Real chain, real teeth, straight through green gum limbs.
Not a toy

Aussies Who Got Their Garden Back
I Used to Rely on Help. Not Anymore.
“The ladders got too risky and the saws got too heavy, so the pruning became a waiting game for the kids to visit. I hold this one in one hand and just do it myself.”
At 72, I Pruned My Whole Property in an Hour
“At 72, I thought I’d need help. This 1kg chainsaw changed that. One button start, cuts from the ground, no ladders. Pruned my whole property in an hour. My daughter can’t believe I do it myself now.”
I Was Sceptical At First
“I was sceptical at first, but this little beauty cut through all my toughest shrubs without breaking a sweat. My daughter kept telling me to get one and I’m wrapped I did.”
No Ladder. No Sore Hands.
“Honestly, I used to dread pruning season. Last weekend I tackled my gum tree and shrubs — took maybe half an hour total. No ladder, no sore hands. Just... done.”
Three Years of Overgrowth, Gone by Lunchtime
“I was genuinely nervous spending $100 on a tool I’d never heard of. Tried it on a Saturday morning. By lunchtime I’d cleared three years of overgrowth from the back fence. My wife is already asking if she can borrow it.”
The One I Actually Reach For
“I’ve got a proper chainsaw in the shed, but for small jobs? This thing’s perfect. Quick trim here and there — I actually look forward to weekend yard work now.”

Common Questions
Is it actually strong enough, or is it a toy?
It’s a real chainsaw with a real chain, just a small one. It handles branches up to about the thickness of your wrist, which covers nearly all normal garden pruning. It won’t fell a full-size gum tree, and we won’t pretend it will. For everything else, it does the job.
Is it safe for someone in their 70s to use?
It’s far easier to control than a full-size saw. It weighs about 1 kg, you hold it in one hand, and it has a safety lock so it can’t start by accident. Best of all you keep both feet on the ground, so you’re not up a ladder holding something heavy.
What if the batteries fail after a while?
You get two batteries, so one is always charged and neither gets worn out as fast. You’re also covered by our 90-day warranty, and if anything gives you trouble our Aussie support team will sort it out. We’re a local business with a real email address, not an overseas seller who disappears.
How long does a battery last on one charge?
Enough for a normal round of pruning. With two batteries you can keep one on the charger while you use the other, so you’re never standing around waiting.
Do I have to mix fuel or pull a cord?
No. Slide the battery in and press the button. No two stroke, no petrol smell, no yanking a cord over and over. It also starts first go after sitting in the shed for months.
What comes in the box?
The Mini Chainsaw, 2 rechargeable batteries, a charger, cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses and a hard carry case. Everything you need to start straight away.
Do I need to oil or tension the chain?
A drop of standard chainsaw bar oil before each use and an occasional tension check, the same as any chainsaw. It takes about a minute and there are simple instructions in the box. Bar oil is available at any hardware shop and a small bottle lasts a long time.
Can I use it on wet branches or in the rain?
We recommend dry conditions. Like any battery tool, dry cutting gives the cleanest result and the safest, longest run time.
What if it gets lost or damaged on the way to me?
Your order includes shipping insurance, normally $9.99, free on this page. You’ll see it on your order at checkout with the cost taken off, so you know it’s covered. If your parcel goes missing in transit or turns up damaged, tell our Aussie support team and we’ll send a replacement out. You’re not out of pocket and there’s no claim form to chase.
What’s the guarantee, and how fast is delivery?
Three things cover you. Free shipping insurance on the way to you. A 30-day money-back guarantee once it arrives, and if you send it back we pay the return postage. Plus a 90-day warranty, so if something goes wrong with the saw itself we replace it free. Delivery is free Australia-wide with tracking.
