Nobody Worries About the Saw. They Worry About the Third Rung.

You know the moment. One foot on the rung, one foot on nothing. Leaning out sideways. A heavy petrol saw held up above your head. And someone inside saying be careful. Here is what nobody says out loud: the branch was never the dangerous part. The ladder was. Take the ladder out of the job, and the job is easy. Here are 7 reasons thousands of Aussies over 60 put the ladder away for good.

7 Reasons Aussies Over 60 Put the Ladder Away for Good

1

Both Feet on the Ground. Every Cut.

It weighs 1 kg, so you hold it in one hand and reach. No climbing. No leaning. No one foot on the rung. Nearly every branch in a normal garden is within reach from the ground. This is built for those.

2

1 kg. Lighter Than a Carton of Milk.

A petrol saw weighs five or six kilos before you add fuel. Holding that above your shoulders is what makes a ladder wobble. This one weighs about the same as a bottle of milk. You can hold it out at arm's length all morning.

Weighs about 1 kg

3

The New Rule: Cut What You Can Reach. Leave the Rest.

Anything you can reach with both feet on the ground, cut it. Anything that needs a ladder, leave it for the tree lopper. That rule covers the overhang on the path, the limb over the clothesline, the lemon tree, the fence line. Nearly all of it.

Cuts Branches as Thick as Your Wrist

Most people say the same thing when it arrives: I thought it was a toy. Then they cut something with it. Real chain, real teeth, straight through green gum limbs. It will not fell your gum tree. It does not need to.

5

No Petrol. No Pull Cord. No Fumes.

The old saw needs two hands and twenty pulls before it even starts. This one needs one hand and one button. Slide the battery in, press, cut. No two stroke to mix. No standing in exhaust. It starts first go after a winter in the shed.

6

Made Safe for Older Hands

A light trigger, a safety lock so it cannot start by accident, and a body small enough to grip properly. No kickback wrestling. Cut-resistant gloves and safety glasses are in the box. Every year Australians end up in hospital after a fall from a ladder at home. Not one of them was hurt by the branch. The safest place to prune from is the ground. This saw keeps you there.

Stop Waiting on the Tree Lopper (or the Kids)

One call-out to trim a few low branches can cost more than this whole kit. And the kids said they'd come at Easter. At $119.99 it pays for itself the first weekend you do it yourself, from the ground, before lunch.

Common Questions

What about the high branches I can’t reach from the ground?

Leave them. That’s the rule. Call the tree lopper for the top of the tree once every few years, and do everything else yourself, from the ground, whenever you like. Most of the pruning in a normal garden is at arm’s height. This saw does that part, and it means you stop paying the lopper for the easy branches.

Is it actually strong enough, or is it a toy?

It’s a real chainsaw with a real chain, just a small one. It handles branches up to about the thickness of your wrist, which covers nearly all normal garden pruning. It won’t fell a full-size gum tree, and we won’t pretend it will. For everything else, it does the job.

Is it safe for someone in their 70s to use?

It’s far easier to control than a full-size saw. It weighs about 1 kg, you hold it in one hand, and it has a safety lock so it can’t start by accident. Best of all you keep both feet on the ground. The saw was never the risky part of pruning. The ladder was.

What if the batteries fail after a while?

You get two batteries, so one is always charged and neither gets worn out as fast. You’re also covered by our 90-day warranty, and if anything gives you trouble our Aussie support team will sort it out. We’re a local business with a real email address, not an overseas seller who disappears.

How long does a battery last on one charge?

Enough for a normal round of pruning. With two batteries you can keep one on the charger while you use the other, so you’re never standing around waiting.

Do I have to mix fuel or pull a cord?

No. Slide the battery in and press the button. No two stroke, no petrol smell, no yanking a cord over and over. It also starts first go after sitting in the shed for months.

What comes in the box?

The Mini Chainsaw, 2 rechargeable batteries, a charger, cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses and a hard carry case. Everything you need to start straight away.

Do I need to oil or tension the chain?

A drop of standard chainsaw bar oil before each use and an occasional tension check, the same as any chainsaw. It takes about a minute and there are simple instructions in the box. Bar oil is available at any hardware shop and a small bottle lasts a long time.

Can I use it on wet branches or in the rain?

We recommend dry conditions. Like any battery tool, dry cutting gives the cleanest result and the safest, longest run time.

What if it gets lost or damaged on the way to me?

Your order includes shipping insurance, normally $9.99, free on this page. You’ll see it on your order at checkout with the cost taken off, so you know it’s covered. If your parcel goes missing in transit or turns up damaged, tell our Aussie support team and we’ll send a replacement out. You’re not out of pocket and there’s no claim form to chase.

What’s the guarantee, and how fast is delivery?

Three things cover you. Free shipping insurance on the way to you. A 30-day money-back guarantee once it arrives, and if you send it back we pay the return postage. Plus a 90-day warranty, so if something goes wrong with the saw itself we replace it free. Delivery is free Australia-wide with tracking.
